Puppy breeding and buying can be a tricky business, and oftentimes things don’t go as planned. That’s why it’s so important to hear about a recent heartwarming story of responsible puppy breeding and adoption.
Recently, a bulldog puppy was returned to us after eight months due to some behavior issues. While this may seem like a failure, I embraced the situation as an opportunity to make things right. I took the puppy back and spent several days observing her, identifying her issues, triggers, and bad habits. We, both of my boys, Ian (12), Johnny (17) and I worked tirelessly with her training and determined what kind of home she needed.
I received multiple applications, but none of them felt like a perfect fit until I found the perfect home in New Jersey. It was like a match made in heaven. The puppy, Cara is now living her best life, and both the previous and new families are genuinely happy.
This story is a testament to the importance of responsible puppy breeding and buying from a responsible breeder. I am committed to the well-being of my puppies and families, cultivating a bond where they feel comfortable reaching out for any questions or concerns, and even returning their puppy if necessary.
It’s heartening to know that we are breeders who are part of the solution, not the problem. I would never force you to keep a puppy that isn’t working out for your family or lifestyle, or worse, have one of our puppies end up in a shelter.
I hope this story serves as a reminder that supporting and buying from responsible breeder can make all the difference in the lives of precious puppies and their families and the world.
I’m incredibly grateful to the previous family for choosing to contact me instead of taking her to a shelter. Additionally, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the new family for opening their hearts and home to this wonderful older bulldog puppy, showering her with all the love and attention (and toys) she truly deserves, regardless of her age. It’s truly heartwarming to witness such acts of compassion and understanding.
